Karen Eisenhauer graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History. She then attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where she was on Law Review in her second year and was Articles Editor for the Review in her third. She won second prize in a writing contest judged by her professor Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia in the summer after her first year. She co-authored a Law Review Article, “Reves Revisited” with one of her professors and it was published first in the Pepperdine Law Review then re-published in the Securities Law Review of 1993, a collection of the best articles of the year on securities law related subjects. She graduated magna cum laude and 4th in her class.
Following law school, Karen went to work as a clerk to Judge Gilbert Merritt, Chief Judge of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals of the United States. Following this year long clerkship, Karen moved to Washington, DC to work for the nationally renowned law firm of Steptoe and Johnson. After several years of practice in Washington, Karen decided to move home to Missouri to start her own business in the area of Estate Planning. Estate law is a passion for Karen as she has seen the benefits of having the necessary documents in place and the difficulty of lacking those documents. Check her Blog for articles on this subject.

"Karen moved quickly and overcame obstacles to complete the Durable Power of Attorney which was acceptable to the Corporate Management. Karen was very professional and detailed in her actions in bringing about a successful conclusion. Considering all the work she did, I thought her fee was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Karen Eisenhauer for executing your DPA."
